A number of years ago, I was urged by a few friends to go see a particular tarot card reader.... In a nutshell, I had a fine experience. There were some things that were perhaps a little too "woo-woo" for me personally, or that I had a little internal chuckle at.
But......
There was one thing that stuck with me. Maybe it is even a little too "woo-woo" for you. Who can say. I am going share it anyway.
She introduced the concept that every soul has a "Cosmic Mission" that they must fulfill on this planet. That until that mission is complete, the soul will continue to return in a new vessel (or skin suit), lifetime after lifetime.
I guess you could say this is some kind of reincarnation theory. You see the connection too, right?
Well, this tarot card reader told me that my soul had completed its mission a number of lifetimes ago and that it is rare to see a soul CHOOSE to return after the completion of their mission. Yet, that is what the soul inside of me has done. Over and over again.
WHAAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?!
So, I had to ask, "Why?". To which she replied, "You saw that there was still so much work to be done here, that you chose to skip your ascension and continue doing the work."
You guys..... At this time in my life I was an apparel designer for one of the world's largest sportswear brands (adidas). WHAT WORK WAS I DOING THAT WAS SO MEANINGFUL??? Not a lot. Designing shorts that cost $5 to make but sell for $55 at retail. Ew. We weren't giving back at the capacity we could as a global brand..... But the breadth and depth of that is for another time.
Back to this Cosmic Mission stuff.
So, here I am, back on Earth to do the work that is needed.... about 6 years after this fateful day of having my cards read. (Yeah, I wonder what took so long sometimes too). BUT, that was the day, y'all. I remember walking out of there with more questions than answers about who I was, who I wanted to be, and what the hell to do about it.
Moral of this whole thing, I suppose, is that we all should ask ourselves these questions. We should dig deep. There is a reason every one of you is here, even if you haven't discovered your purpose or Cosmic Mission, as it was explained to me. And, I truly believe that a part of all of our missions is to be good stewards of humankind, to support and love one another as we all strive to fulfill our Cosmic Missions.
I know in the depths of my soul that I am walking the path I am supposed to. That I have the courage and resilience to bring my Cosmic Mission to life. Because of this, I am free.
***Side note: I would really love to know what that mission was that I completed so many lifetimes ago. Will I ever know?? My guess is no.**
